What network speed do your users have?

This question is important because many computer users, especially those connecting from home, will only have slow internet connections. Furthermore, even in an institution which has fast access, if a number of people try to use network-intensive material at the same time this can cause problems. Materials should be designed to include alternatives, for example alongside video clips include a link to a text transcript of the video.
